Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 packet 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, yeast, salt, and sugar
Add warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients
Mix until a dough forms
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, or until smooth and elastic
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size
Preheat your oven to 475F 245C
Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 8 equal portions
Shape each portion into a ball and then flatten it into a disc about 1/4 inch thick
Place the discs on a parchment-lined baking sheet and cover them loosely with a clean towel
Let the discs rest for about 15 minutes
Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until puffed up and lightly golden brown
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving
